Job Description.
Cumberland Farms, a member of EG Group, is looking for an experienced UI/UX developer to bridge the gap between user experience and technical implementation.

Position Summary

The UX Developer we're looking for is a part designer, part developer (more of later!). This candidate is responsible for creating impactful visual designs and developing custom mobile applications. The primary focus of the individual is to develop digital prototypes, design experiences and build native Apps in accordance to business requirements. The individual must have a strong demonstrated understanding of SDLC, Agile and Project Management principles, including design, coding, testing, debugging, and implementation methodologies. You will be part of a cross-functional team that's responsible for full software development life cycle. You should be comfortable around front-end coding languages, App development frameworks and 3rd party libraries. Highlights: Part designer, part developer (more of later!). Responsibilities

Work with end users + developers to create and design user experiences for multiple platforms (web, mobile & POS). Work with leadership to help identify & refine digital solutions aimed at solving specific business challenges across business units. Rapidly prototype and iterate UX/UI in CSS and JavaScript frameworks. #1 Goal: Deliver high quality prototypes; #2 Goal: Speed (Iterate fast & iterate often!). Actively participate in both Dev
+ Design Sprints. Design, build and maintain highly modular & reusable Javascript, HTML & CSS Code. Lead design sprints across our digital portfolio. Spend 40% of time in building new Apps, 40% of time in breathing fresh life into existing Apps & 20% of time on interesting /intriguing problems. Build native Apps on iOS
+ Android using React Native.

Requirements

Solid understanding of User
- Centered Design and looking for efficiencies in UX/UI. Experience using SOAP/SML, REST, and JSON frameworks and API's. Produce user flows, wireframes, and interactivity to components (Ex: Graphics, loading animations, App tutorials, simulation of force touch, swipe, touch gestures etc.) - vision prototypes that can be handed off to Dev team. Familiar with JavaScript visualization libraries (D3, Charts.js). Be an active listener, be adept at brainstorming and understand user research. Required to work in a collaborative environment, where constructive feedback is provided often. Working Relationship: The UX Developer will be reporting to Director of Application Development. He/she will also work closely with others within the IT department as well as with business partners to help identify & develop digital solutions aimed at solving specific business challenges across various business units. Minimum

Education

Computer Science Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Education

Computer Science Master's Degree Minimum

Experience

3+ years of experience creating and prototyping User Interfaces in the Adobe Creative Suite / Sketch / Balsamiq / Marvel. 3+ years of experience as a front-end developer. (React
+ React Native experience is preferred) Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, SCSS, jQuery, JavaScript (ES6), Bootstrap, Handlebars templating, bowser-based Dev tools and key Node modules. Passionate about building experiences users love. Solid understanding of asynchronous request handling, and AJAX.

Preferred Experience

Deep knowledge about iOS architecture. Experience developing & launching consumer facing Native Apps. Experience with localization & multi-language sites. Knack for gathering actionable insights from Consumer research publications. Pro-active (wo)man of action. Soft
