Job Description

As a test automation development engineer, you will work to design, develop, and implement solutions to automate challenges the factory build readiness QA team faces. To be successful in this position, you have a strong technical foundation, are able to learn new technologies quickly, show initiative, and possess excellent communication skills. You must be motivated and prepared to work both independently and cross-functionally. You'll work with system quality assurance engineers to develop tools and frameworks that automate validation of test processes used at clients product factories. This accomplishes the goal of automating execution of system level testing. In doing so, you have the ability to impact the efficiency of the team and help deliver products to customers. Your contributions will help ensure that our devices are free of defects when manufactured and shipped or sold to customers. Some skills that are critical for success in this position: Strong Python skills Experience designing, developing and executing automation scripts Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills Experience with identifying, tracking bugs, defect tracking systems Experience with Git (or any other source code management/version control system) Experience with MacOS/Linux/Unix Web based testing experience Good to have technologies are highly encouraged. 5-10 years of experience Good to have: Experience authoring, executing, and automating unit testing Experience setting up and maintaining continuous integration systems Knowledge of test-driven development Experience with building, testing and deploying changes to software using software containerization(Docker) and container orchestration services like Kubernetes or AWS Experience working with Cloud infrastructure and IT security protocols Some experience with Ansible, Bash, Powershell Experience working with Databases(PostgreSQL) is a plus Experience with Web technologies (HTML, CSS, NodeJS, ReactJS) is a plus BS/MS EE/CE/CS or equivalent PDS Tech, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
