Staff Software Engineer- Tech Lead, Health Tools

Job description.
Build scalable systems in Scala and React to help drive the efficiency of our operations, architect new tooling, and mentor junior engineers and contractors. You'll have an opportunity to work on a diverse set of projects and technologies. Health internal tools help power our business critical operations. The team is fast-paced, exciting, and passionate about positively impacting the lives of our worldwide users. We also value a fun, friendly, balanced, and diverse work environment. Our day to day duties run the gamut for the company including fighting abuse, supporting new Twitter initiatives, navigating complex global regulations, managing user accounts, and troubleshooting. Our engineering team engages directly with our internal customers and understands the value they provide to Twitter. The position is meaningful, dynamic and there is never a dull moment.

Qualifications

You're a strong backend or full-stack engineer. You have experience with user interfaces, distributed systems, asynchronous programming, system design, and mentorship. B.S. or higher in Computer Science or related discipline (or equivalent experience)7 years of relevant professional experience.
Track record for building and operating full-stack applications, from JS to DBStrong computer science fundamentals, algorithms, and data structures background.
Model of software engineering best practices, including agile development, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation, debugging, and troubleshooting.
Previous experience with Scala, Java, Python, C/C++, and React.js is a plus.
Growth mindset and a desire to learn, teach, and improve skills.
Proven cross functional experience communicating with teams working to deliver.
