JOB DESCRIPTION

SUMMARYSr. Software Engineer.

Position Objective: The Senior Software Engineer delivers innovative solutions for key applications in smart, creative ways. This developer is a team player who always serves the end user by building quality products. This role works with more senior team members to learn more about Sunbelt and the needs/requirements in its customer facing and internal business applications. We are looking for a strong front-end developer who is proficient with React.js, JavaScript, CS
S and C#. One of your primary focuses will be on developing user interface components and implementing them with React, styled-components and typescript. You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important. You will also help support and enhance existing features of the application written on the .Net MVC stack along with JavaScript based on jQuery and VueJS on the frontend.

Position Responsibilities

* Reliably deliver advanced-level quality code that solves user and business problems in a flexible, scalable way
* Own a medium to large piece of a system or product, delivering scoped projects with limited supervision while maintaining other production systems
* Demonstrate conceptual knowledge of databases, front end technologies and asynchronous development
* Implement new features and modify existing features across a variety of customer-facing and internal business applications
* Provide feedback, participate in code reviews and collaborate with other engineering teams, user experience design and product teams
* Review and test code before deployment, performing unit and integration testing
* Perform bug fixes and support troubleshooting efforts with ability to debug complex problems independently
* Ability to understand performance implications of various technical approaches or implementations, such as SQL data types
* Contribute ideas that inform broader team initiatives and technical strategy
* Productively collaborate, present and communicate to business, functional teams and senior leaders to determine business requirements and translate them into creative and effective solutions
* Developing new user-facing features using React.js
* Building reusable components and front-end libraries for future use
* Support existing .Net MVC / JavaScript applications
* Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
* Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
* Write unit tests
* Perform peer code reviews.

Requirements

Education &

Experience

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other relevant engineering field or equivalent work experience
* 5 years of web development experience with HTML5, Node.js, React and other modern JavaScript frameworks, including 2+ years of recent experience as a build and deployment engineer using industry standard tools and 3+ years of experience in setting up and configuring build servers and build agents
* Experience in languages such .NET and GraphQL
* Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server, MSSQL, MySQL or similar technologies
* Experience using web servers such as Apache, II
S or Nginx
* Knowledge working closely with Git
* Experience with machine learning
* Understanding of industry standard system architecture and system management tools
* Experience supporting and documenting build and configuration changes throughout environments
* Experience in Agile/Scrum development cycle environments
* Strong proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
* Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
* Experience with popular React.js workflows with Redux, Styled
- Components and GraphQL
* Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
* Familiarity with RESTful APIs
* Knowledge of modern authorization mechanisms, such as JSON Web Token
* Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
* Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, etc.
* Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
* Familiarity with code versioning tools GIT
* Experience with .Net MVC and C#Physical Demands.
Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job. Some Sunbelt jobs may require driving for long periods of time, loading and unloading heavy equipment, performing work in extreme weather conditions including rain, wind or excessive temperatures and/or night and weekend work.
