Software Engineer, Advisory Board - Washington, D.C.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software applications and applicationcomponents in an agile environment

  • Integrate and implement custom created applications withcommercial and open source software

  • Create high-quality software by conducting peer design/codereviews and developing automated test cases

  • Work with geographically distributed teams, with ampleopportunity to learn from and mentor teammates in a fast-paced environment

  • Play a key role in the future of software products by workingclosely with product management and other stakeholders to aid solutiondevelopment

  • Leverage the latest technologies to solve complex problemsfacing the health care industry

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience

  • 3+ years of relevant professional work experience (Internerships and/or Professional)

  • Strong experience with C# and ReactJS or any front-end tools

  • Experience designing and developing web applications

  • Foundational software development knowledge including object-oriented development, SOLID, and test-driven development

  • Experience with enterprise technologies and principles, e.g.
    SOA, REST, asynchronous messaging

  • Flexibility to work across a variety of software-related disciplines: solution design, agile development, unit testing, refactoring, and build/deployment automation

  • If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the Protect.
    Well mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or similar United.
    Health Group-approved symptom screener. When in a United.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience developing web applications using HTML/CSS/JavaScript

  • Experience migrating on-premise to Cloud (AWS or Azure)

  • Experience in the healthcare domain, especially in the area of Clinical Quality Measures.

  • Experience leading small groups of software engineers in the delivery of high-quality, scalable solutions

  • Experience with large product integrations and performance enhancements.

  • Experience analyzing large volumes of data

  • Experience in C#/.NET, ReactJS, Database, and AWS
