Our Chief Data Office also known as our Data, Insights & Analytics team (DIA) is focused on driving innovation through optimizing how we leverage data to drive strategy and create a new business model disrupting the insurance market. As we develop an enterprise-wide data and digital strategy that moves us toward greater focus on the use of data and data-driven insights, we are seeking a Center of Excellence (CoE) Lead for our Modular Data Services team. The role will support the team s efforts creating an end-to-end strategic, scalable and performant Data platform designed and developed for the enterprise value chain, in accordance to the firm s Enterprise Data Strategy. This is a hands-on manager role requiring the individual to understand details around business requirements and work as part of execution team to develop solutions using cutting-edge technologies. Expertise of relevant data driven products/tools and implementation is critical. This role requires a person that is a team player, can work well with team members from other disciplines to deliver data-driven solutions together, while supporting a team of developers. What will your essential responsibilities include?
Understand AXA XL s existing data elements bits and bytes and architecture deeply Understand data user requirements (desired output & outcome) and existing data environments (current state), and assist senior level staff in translating these into a data architecture and road map.
Collaborate with customers, analysts, architects, modelers, developers, testers, partners and vendors Support senior level staff in the full lifecycle of a Data Solution, including: Understand the Business Capabilities that are required and translate this to Data Capabilities and Data Delivery Assist the customer (and business solutions analysts) to define and declare non-functional requirements for building out data solution capabilities.
Design AXA XL s data solutions, and its digital data assets to meet business requirements in a manner that balances architectural standards, and implementation and operational risks, with restricted parameters such as budget and time.
Assist in the creation of cost estimates including implementation as well as total cost of ownership.
Ensure security by design to meet Information Security policies, Legal, Compliance, Risk, and Regulatory requirements, and industry best practice.
Assess vendor tools based on required capabilities, future capabilities, and architecture drivers, and document justification for tool selectionBe hands on to demonstrate tools, patterns, security, performance, scalability, etc. in a lab environment when necessary.
Work with quality assurance team to ensure the testing approach is appropriate for the given architecture and solution.
Create feedback loops for those who are implementing and interacting with the data solutions.
Participate in the definition of adoption and experience metrics for the data solution to measure the success of the data solution.
Champion modern development practices and frameworks throughout the wider organization.
Operate within a federated build mentality, supporting other Application Development teams to utilize services built by Modular Data Services, or to integrate with their solutions ensuring the drive towards modular/reusable assetsIn this role, you will report to the Head of Embedded Platform Solutions.

Strong experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
Champion of reusable assets, modern packaging practices.
Deep understanding of industry standards, Open API 3, OAuth2/JWT etc. Passion for driving secure by design approaches (e.g. zero trust services)Solid presentation, communication (oral & written), and relationship-building skills.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to handle change.
Solid problem-solving and analysis skills.
Must be able to work well under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
