Manager, Retention Marketing (Email, SMS & Loyalty Expert)

We are looking for a Retention Marketing Manager who will be responsible for owning the full spectrum of Email and SMS marketing along with Loyalty from strategy to execution. This person should be a self-starter and will be responsible for accelerating our email performance and creating compelling marketing, transactional and trigger/drop programs that support our revenue and brand goals. They will oversee the daily execution and ongoing optimization of marketing emails, SMS, direct mail, and promotional content as well as drive subscriber acquisition with a focus on our D2C channel performance.

Partner with creative, content, brand, client services and development team to create a strong relationship with our clients to drive engagement, spend and love for the brand Be the go-to expert on all things retention marketing (email marketing, SMS, subscription database ownership and audience segmentation) Collaborate closely with cross functional and marketing partners to deliver on campaigns, promos and results Channel Strategy & Execution Own the full life-cycle of email / SMS campaign development ideation. Own platform strategy, writing of all briefs, content planning, audience segmentation, testing, executing and optimizing Function as primary user and admin of the marketing platform; develop, manage and lead email, SM
S and direct mail comms calendar Understand email and SMS trends and best practices and take the lead in incorporating trends into retention marketing plans Develop retention strategies for content, segmentation and personalization, lifecycle marketing, and testing and optimizing Drive segmentation and personalization strategy across marketing channels according to the customer journey Partner with leaders on acquisition and performance marketing to develop cross-channel lifecycle marketing strategies and measurement approach Create and manage automations (triggers) and drip campaigns to increase engagement rates and lifetime values Proofread copy for clarity, grammar and spelling, as well as brand storytelling and alignment Continuously A/B test all campaigns to maximize ROI and efficiency of our efforts, ensure cross-browser and ESP compatibility and accuracy, create, QA and execute campaign List Management & Analytics Develop robust reporting to track and analyze key performance metrics (at channel, campaign and customer levels) Ensure list health by monitoring opt in and opt out rates, engagement KPIs, and deliverability, work with data analyst to resolve issues Implement email capture and list hygiene best practices, as well as comply to Can
- SPAM and CCPA Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure data attributes are readily available for segmentation, targeting and triggers across multiple sources (student, transactions, studios) Rigorously monitor campaign performance and continually make improvement

Skills

5-7 years experience in Retention marketing, with specific experience in Email and SMS management Experience in managing agencies and internal teams Experience developing data-driven digital segmentation and personalization strategies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate metrics into actionable insights Consumer-driven approach to lead brand effort in putting clients at the center of our communication strategy Proven track record of creating breakthrough, on brand, efficient campaigns with complex cross-platform scope Passion for storytelling in the beauty and haircare world, ability to convey concepts and information in a succinct and visually compelling way, constantly exploring new opportunities & ideas within the industry & digital marketing space, eager to share learnings with team and collaborate Strong writing, grammar, and editorial skills Strong leader capable of collaborating with and leading cross-platform teams across project lifecycle to meet business objectives, as well as manage up to senior colleagues Well organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and effectively Resourceful self-starter, with a can-do attitude that thrives in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment Flexible and willing to work outside normal office hours Works well under pressure and can meet tight deadlines with a strong sense of accountability Strong interpersonal and analytical skills with great attention to detail, High emotional intelligence and self-awareness, which encourages positive energy and passion throughout the organization Physical
