IT Security Specialist IV

Our client, one of the largest banks in the US with wealth management, investment banking, and international business, is seeking an IT Security Specialist IV

Location: Dallas, TX
Position Type: Contract

Job Summary

This role is responsible for defining and architecting Shared Services for Data Life Cycle Management as per GRM policy and Regulatory Mandates.

Job Responsibilities

- Perform various design and development tasks for building Banks next generation Data Archiving Services.

- Design and develop code using RESTful web services.

- Develop interfaces for automation and self-service for consumers across the subscribers to operations role.

- Analyze and reverse engineer existing systems for consolidating to a streamlined product set.

- Develop a new user interface using React.js

- Translate designs and wire frames into high quality code

- Building reusable, testable components and front-end libraries for future use

- Prepare test cases using well known frameworks such as Jest, Jasmine, Karma

- Ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain considering best practices, design patterns, code readability, and styling

- Coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure (e.g. Rest API)

Qualifications

- Java/Web services/Linux PLSQL

- Expert at Architecting Highly Scalable and Available Distributed Systems

- Knowledge of storage technologies and product vendors such as HCP

- Programming experience in: Amazon AWS, S3

- Strong programming experience in: Core Java and Oracle PL/SQL.

- Strong programming experience implementing Web Services (REST) and security standards

- Strong experience in one of scripting languages on Linux e.g. Python, Perl, bash etc.

- Experience with Single Sign on and LDAP stores

- Experience with QA - Java and Cucumber

- Deep knowledge in UI element arrangements, DO
M manipulation, JavaScript object model and OOP, style sheeting, browser compatibility, JavaScript, and type scripting

- Deep understanding of the HTTP protocol, Restful API, and Security

- Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript

- Familiarity with requirements such as ADA and Responsive design

- Experience in Agile methodology

- Experience with CI/CD platforms and tools such as Babel, Webpack, Node.js/NPM, Git to configure, compile, build, package, and deploy the application
